Does anyone have a favorite in Fairfield county? I would like to stay in the general Fairfield area. Not looking for year-round stores that call themselves Farmer's Markets. I want the pop-up, roadside stands.
The biggest one is in Darien, on Wednesdays, I believe, and there's one in Westport on Thursdays from 10-2. Here's a site that will give you all the most up-to-date information on farmers' markets in the area.
Westport's is good. I like Milford downtown too. My favorites have been the City Seed ones in New Haven. They have several. Wooster Square on Saturday is nice if you don't mind traveling a bit.
