Inexcusable??? What do you expect when you have cut state workers to the leanest numbers to save money and taxes? There are only so many workers at the Department of Labor. How and why do you expect them to be able to process a sudden and unexpected massive surge in filings?

You want small government? You don’t want social services? This is what you get. I think it’s “inexcusable” to expect more. Jay

For everyone in a financial bind right now there is mortgage relief in CT.

For the life of me I can't understand why something isn't being done nationwide about all the mortgages and rents coming due with no money coming into many peoples homes.

I agree but it seems that the Governors are leading things to address this crisis. I think New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is leading the way and addressing issues as fast as he can. Governor Lamont has recognized this and is following Cuomo’s lead which is good. Jay

Whether you like his political policies or not I think it is Divine Providence to have Governor Cuomo as Governor of NY right now. CT is lucky we have teamed up with NY state and Governor Cuomo.

Criticizing overwhelmed leaders and workers during a time of crisis is inexcusable and un-American.
Sad

Wrong. This is the time we need to push our leaders to do what’s right, not what’s in their self interest.

Save it, I don't want to hear any of that politics BS.
Local leaders and essential workers are doing the best they can.

It’s quite the opposite, actually. Demanding politicians STOP playing politics and get the job done. The politicking will further damage whatever economy we’ll have left after this.

I know re: essential workers. I am one.

One can argue politics is related to everything. The issue is bipartisanship leading to the blame game.
