I notice Friday-Sunday traffic is worst than Monday-Thursday.

Horrible, and I hear the trains are back to about 80% capacity but fewer of them running than in the past and slow as slow can be. Brutal.
You'll never see me riding Metro North again unless its in a coffin.

Over two hours to and from Milford. An hour and 30 from Westport. Almost everything is a local. It's awful.

Good article on Connecticut’s efforts to attract new business. Sounds like this is just the beginning. I missed the US News ranking Connecticut No. 7 for business. That’s great. Keep up the good work. Jay

Was it by choice? Folks I know at Yale NH Corp were in the office throughout, never from home

No, but she loves it. They are reducing leased space, and she was in a leased building.

That said, don't think while being interviewed he was worried about Rob on City-Data doubting him.

Restaurant workers are fed up with work when they can be paid to stay home.....it's that simple. Work is just that.

You really think this new "Restaurant workers are now tired of the work" has nothing to do with getting paid elsewhere!?

Afraid of getting sick....get the vaccine

One day layoffs is overblown, but is I can tell you nothing compared to Same day no shows, and rampant absenteeism among unskilled labor with poor work ethics.
It's connected. Friend in New Haven

" I have to schedule 5 to hopefully get 3 to show up"
We'll see. In Texas where the extended unemployment was eliminated last month, restaurants are still having a hard time getting help. Lots of folks left the industry or are going to work for better employers. A couple of notes from an article I read:

restaurant workers were fed up with Texas' changing Covid rules forcing them to be the mask minders without support from their employers

working 40 hours a week at a restaurant barely provided a living wage

working without health insurance, PTO, sick leave could makes a career in the industry difficult

some restaurant workers were making more per week with the $300 kicker - more than they had ever been paid in the restaurant business.

One burger chain there called P. Terry's raised it's minimum wage to $15 per hour, didn't close or layoff workers during the pandemic, gave 2 weeks PTO if an employee came down with Covid, and allowed workers to get vaxxed on company time. They have seen an uptick in qualified applicants.
