I'm sorry but I'm tired of hearing about GE. I could be wrong, and I'll be the first to admit it if I am, but I think this is all a dog and pony show by GE to get what they want out of CT. I suspect they'll stay right where they are.

I tend to agree with other posters here-this may be getting held up for the late breaking city, Boston, to finish aligning their deal.

If Malloy did promise to match any offer they get from other states, why would they even bother moving at that point. They save the moving costs while also getting the best deal they could.

Not to keep bringing it back up (because I just want them to make a decision already) but getting the best deal isn't all they want. They want a state /area that is up and coming which offers value such as people, transportation and innovations. Fairfield really doesn't do that (as far as we know). Connecticut is more stable and narrow.

They also mention what the financial picture will look like in 10 years and CT doesn't look to good.

What they say and what they do are not on the level.

GE has been offered first crack at some of the top IP being developed in CT if they wanted to partner to commercialize. There are a number of companies that have used this model-- It's free R & D. Sikorski and Pitney Bowes are just two large companies that partner with entrepreneurs to solve institutional problems. GE hasn't participated despite multiple opportunities.

Maybe they're just not that into us?

Some good news for the Connecticut economy, it appears that private-sector wages have reached an all-time high. Nationwide, Connecticut's hourly earnings rose the fifth highest of any state compared to overall hourly earnings since November 2014 and the state ranks fourth in America in average hourly wages as well as average weekly earnings. With unemployment at its lowest rate since 2008, things are looking good here. Jay

Shocking that the Yankee Institute for Public Policy thinks the only solution is to repeal taxes.

Sorry.. Conservative think tanks aren't my go-to source for unbiased information.

If you want to get more people to stay here improve public transportation, create better urban living options, and encourage the growth of entrepreneurial ventures.
