Large cities like Boston and NYC are booming because of this and medium sized cities like New Haven and Hartford can't compete with large cities. I think companies are moving back into cities because they're trying to "woo" more Millennials by moving into walkable and less boring places. Suburban offices parks are boring and dull and it seems more exciting to walk out of your office and into a fun environment. Connecticut is suffering because of this because our cities are no match for the large cities within 2 hours from here. There's not much the state can do but give companies money to stay. We are literally on our knees begging them to stay.

This is exactly it, and millennials will follow hence the max exedous of young people

I agree. Young people tend to move where there's a high number of young people. For example...my daughter got a job offer in Maine and Texas and she chose Texas because the community that the job was in has more young people and a more exciting environment.

I think for people in my age range and younger there's no jobs on CT. Back to hospitals the CT's federal and state limit 600 or so job's from being created. The market is small where you have more opportunities working closer to the bigger cities, Boston/NYC.

There are job openings here and there, however many of them are low paying jobs and not enough to live comfortably.

True or part time due to new health insurance regulations. So part timers receive full time benefits, can't complain about that.

Where did she move??

I think CT should build a major new city from scratch and start massive infrastructure spending

Not good.
I read this last night but could not post the link. Now I can't find the article. It said they were opening a "small" office for the CEO in Chicago but that Bethel would remain their "main" office. The article also noted that the company has increased employment including in Bethel. Jay

It was in the patch (Danbury I believe). That's what's the spokesperson said. I actually found the job posting and its is very specific about the intentions. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this.
