First "American" company to operate in Cuba. American until Friday when they announced they will be taken over by a Chinese corporation. Either way, it's a win for Stamford. My bet is that they will grow the current location.

I hope they bring Cuban cigars back here.

I prefer that they merge with an American company, such as Marriott. I'd feel that way even if I were a stockholder and would earn more with a takeover by a Chinese firm.

So, according to this article, Connecticut's iconic job is being an insurance actuary which is the third highest paying profession on the list. Connecticut has the highest concentration of actuaries with 5 times the national average. It may not be sexy but it is pretty good IMHO. Jay

Should Connecticut has county-government systems ? Will county government will it improve cities and towns in the state ? CT is facing red ink in several years and it can't support every town in the state ?

I bet wealthier towns will be against it ?
