What I found more interesting is that Bridgewater is now spending over $500 million to upgrade their facilities in Westport, Wilton and Norwalk. That is a lot more than the $400 million they were going to spend on building a new headquarters in Stamford a couple of years ago and the $22 million is a lot less than the $120 million or so they were originally getting. On top of that, Bridgewater is talking about creating as many as 750 new jobs so I think $22 million is not bad even if they end up just creating a fraction of that number. Jay

I think the argument was becauae they were planning on expanding anyways. That 22mil just gave everyone a nice bonus because you would get taxed on that also. But if you donate or give it to your employees you dont pay taxes on it

I posted this a few weeks ago and didn't really know what to think about it. I don't get their point about the political contributions to the Democratic Governors Association. Cigna gave the Republican Governors Association the same amount of money in 2015, while Anthem gave it nearly 40% more than it gave the Dems. Yeah all corps pay big money to lobby. What is the implication here.

Indeed.com continues to grow its Stamford offices. It had just 50 employees there a few years ago and now has about 600 with room to grow to 900. They appear to be continuing that growth. Jay

Positive news!
Time warner cable is moving from Manhattan to Stamford. Number of jobs not specified but they occupy a large number of floors so it should bring a good amount of jobs. Doesn't seem like any incentive money either which is just icing.
