In Connecticut, don't you just stand on the bridge and wait for it to collapse underneath you? I guess not the Sikorsky Bridge since that's only ~15 years old.

The City of Hartford could file for bankruptcy in less than 2 weeks.

If Malloy sign current budget Uconn will close it regional campus like Uconn Stamford and Waterbury etc, several community colleges in state could close it door and public colleges around state would raise tuition rates. If Malloy don't sign current budget we going back to Square 1 with budget it going take another several weeks

From that picture...
"On or about September 31"

Yep... sums up how clueless governmental agencies are.

Have them go back to school and realize September only has 30 days, please. Or maybe creating an imaginary date is what they do best.

Having gone to UConn Waterbury, I am sorry but good riddance. It's nothing more than an advanced High School. It's almost insulting to hand out a degree slapped with UConn to someone who goes through there. The Storrs Campus is exceptional for a reason, and it is nothing like the satellite campuses.

99% of the list is not viable. I suspect few north of Mason Dixon make round 2.

Growth is key in the labor pool when 50k staff are required.

Land is key, too. Not patched together amongst many locations.

99% of the 1,000 will drop like flies.

NJ has a stronger Supply Chain Management pool (due to corps hvexpatinct mentioned), and that's what Amazon needs, that is not easy to find. SCM is at the core of what makes Amazon successful.

However, Southeast still measures much better on many factors, and if they pick Atlanta, Amazon could get SCM folks from Home Depot hq.

Well you need housing for the growth too. Which is problematic. You also can't ignore Bezos left leaning and very urban beliefs. The proposal request notes that it can be a campus like Seattle which is spread out among multiple building over several streets. The requirement for mass transit on site eliminates many suburban locations.
