No, they should have self checkout for the lottery tickets. I don't see why they can't offer it since they have those machines that dispense instant tickets in supermarkets. Now that i think about it, i've never ever seen anybody use the machine at the Big Y in Stratford.

I'll admit... I used to go to Pizza Pasta and Things in Port Chester,NY for the food but also because they had Keno there. It was better than munching on food starring into space. This was in the late 90s and haven't been back but I remember it was a great idea for the business and customer. I had free pizza a few times.

I tried one of the scratch off ticket machines at Stop & Shop once. You have to insert your drivers license before buying. I wouldn't risk putting my license in there in case it got stuck. Don't know why they can't scan your license instead.

A couple years ago I was in Indiana and they had ticket machines too, but you didn't have to insert or scan ID first.
