And I would assume the same for skin color and age, right? Just making sure...

No. Because if you choose, let's say, a dentist who doesn't have the same eye color as you have, all your teeth will fall out.

Seriously, though, I'd choose someone who's closer to your age -- they'd understand you a bit better than someone a generation apart.

Geez. Good thing I asked then...

Do I have to fast or anything like that before seeing them?

Are you being serious????

No, you do not have to see another gay male therapist. It's really more important to find someone who you feel comfortable with and have a rapport with. It's about finding a good fit. Not all people mesh with their therapists.

Nep, you are sounding more and more like a troll with each new question.

I can actually understand your questions Nep.

I have seen therapists before that I did not connect with. One was an older woman and one was male, and I did not feel comfortable talking to either of them.

That's why I started looking online and reading profiles to find my current therapist who I love and feel completely comfortable with. I recommend you do the same. Figure out who YOU would be comfortable talking to. Is it a male or female? Look for someone that you prefer.

So that the body is focused on absorbing information communicated from the therapist instead of focused on digesting food consumption. Right?
