Usually having a large amount of ANY item usually implies that someone may be dealing/selling that item. Since there is no laws restricting the dealing/selling of dolls, dvds, and screwdrivers, having a large amount is no problem. HOWEVER, there are laws restricting how guns are sold. So if someone has hundreds of guns, one should be concerned if they are probably dealing them illegally.
What does it matter how many a person owns? you can only shoot one or two at a time even if you own a thousand. Just like you can only drive one car at a time, so why do people own multiple cars?
This is a fair point. Perhaps the thousands of rounds of ammo are a larger cause for concern?
Most people own one car-- Maybe two family cars. They don't own two hundred and 50 cars.
You didn't answer the question, predictably. How did the owning of 250 guns hurt anyone? So again, please explain why you should need a license. As I read it, his guns were not used and your holophobia is looking for an excuse to ban something scary.
My interest is not necessarily in Connecticut, but in US law. CT has the best pizza though, so I do have some interest
You're right about the pizza
I didn't use the word ban. I am not in favor of bans-- But common sense says that this is not personal protection, this is an arsenal. Perhaps when someone needs to own this many weapons, and this many rounds of ammo-- giving them the ability to kill a few dozen people any time they choose-- warrants additional licensure.
If you want to drive a car, you get a DL. A Mac truck can do a lot more damage, so you need a CDL to drive one.
NO??? so If you saw hundreds of cell phones in my house you wouldn't think maybe he sells them? if someone see a hundred cars at a lot wouldnt you think its a dealer? You are being obstinate if you can even agree that there may be an implication, I am not saying its an open and shut case, JUST AN IMPLICATION....

I know plenty of people with large collections of guns, so no, a dealer is not the first thing that would come to mind. My first thought would be to check out his collection and see what interesting and rare firearms he may have!
