The title says it all...I need to replace my front door and casing/sill. Does anyone know of a contractor or company they would recommend?

Not sure what specifically you are looking for but I know both Lowes and Home Depot offer instalation of doors. They use independant contractors for the work but its backed by the store.

I had an awful experience previously with a Home Depot contractor and would rather not go that route again. It took many phone calls to the store and two visits to my house by the owner of the contracting company (plus my lost time from my work) to right the wrong. I would rather eliminate the middle man this time around.

Rogers Sash and Door in Newington has a large selection of doors and I believe they do installs as well. I did however find them to be pricey. I found a local contractor that did the work for less. The problem is that now most contractors are busy and do not want to take on smaller jobs. Still you could look in the local newspaper and call a couple of them. Jay

Thanks Jay. I have the name of a local contractor in Glastonbury that my friend had a good experience with but I was hoping to get more than one quote.
