Hello, I am visiting Middletown CT tomorrow - driving in from Philadelphia, leaving very early 4am, so will get to CT early .

But I have to leave Middletown around 11am for an appointment in Cambridge, MA around 2pm.

Do I have enough time to make the trip? What is the fastest route to take?

thanks - PS

From Middletown- Interstate 1-91 North to RT 84 East to Mass Turnpike East ( RT 90) to Boston. Exit 18 might be your best exit off the MA Pike for Cambridge

Takes a couple of hours, plus whatever driving you have to do once you get to Cambridge to get to your destination. You'll have enough time.

i live in Mtown and had 3 appointments in Mass over the last few months. all of them were mid-morning/early afternoon. Southborough was 1.5 hrs, Burlington and Concord were 1.75 hrs (91>84>90). i'd guess Boston is at least 2 hrs as willow said so leaving 3 hrs ahead of time should give you plenty of time. just make sure you bring plenty of change/extra cash for the Mass pike tolls.

It is about 110 miles from Middletown to Cambridge so figure a little over 2 hours to get there depending how you drive and how bad traffic is. At that time traffic should not be bad but you never know when there will be an accident so be sure to allow plenty of extra time. Jay

Even from Fairfield, I take the Wilbur Cross to I-91 North to I-84 East and then I-90 (Mass Pike) east.

I gave the I-95 route a try a couple of times, and it ended up taking an hour longer than the route I listed above.

I have been able to make the trip under ideal conditions in a little over 2 hours. I want to make it in under 2 hours, just as a matter of principle.
