While the natural stuff is north of us, all ski resorts in the area loving it lately. Cold enough to get the guns going...

Theres 1-2 feet of snow that fell in central NY and in Vermont.

Was working in New Canaan this morning and saw patches of snow around in the shade. So I believe Litchfield County has 1-3" around with this map.

And looking at some NWS Climo sites like Burlington had 11" of snow depth yesterday morning. Wow! (you can see current depth with the F6 data around the country, let me know if you need help finding it)

Stowe Mtn resort VT reporting 4 feet on the upper slopes!

Current snow depth in the NorthEast.

I hope not. That's WAY too crowded of a slope to ski on for my preferences! A recipe for someone crashing into you.

Not a lot of snow this month but plenty of cold air for snow making.

Simsbury

A look at the slopes from Woodbury, CT and Hunter Mountain in NY. Looks icy but cold enough for new snow making

I have no idea how that ski woodbury still stays in business. Go look at the reviews on yelp. There doesn't ever seem to be anyone skiing there.

Been a while (in fact all winter) since we updated this thread. Did nobody go skiing in CT?

April 6th and there's still snow around. Cornwall, CT

I went to Ski Sundown and was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely steeper than Mohawk, which I just find very boring and not worth the trip. Very nice lodge/base area too.

I also went to Southington to troubleshoot some new boots. Southington is only really worth it for families/kids learning.

Otherwise, I went to Catamount 3 times, Mt. Snow 4 times, and Stowe 2. Stowe is the best skiing I've experienced on the east coast, and they got a ton of snow this year.

Went to Sundown once and Thunder Ridge once this season. Been to Mohawk many times in the past, but not this season. All are fine for a half day with the kids, but that's about it. I do most of my skiing in VT, Stratton, Bromley and Okemo mostly. Was a great season in VT this year, one of the best in recent memory. Except for the cold. I had never skied in -14 weather before, and its not something I want to experience again.
