So much for "rain" today. I'm in Boston and it's snowing like crazy. Cam, is this going to last all day or taper off?? Ill be heading back to CT probably about 8 or 9, how much will it suck then??

I almost went up that way today too. Some slight accum since my last post but nothing that needs a shovel yet. As it gets cooler if it keeps up id guess we might have something to play in.

Should be over by then. Temperatures are dropping fast though. Be careful of road conditions like black ice. Already down to 35 here on the shoreline near New Haven.

Incredible difference from RT123 in New Canaan to just 15 minutes north! Nothing to 2.5"! It was amazing. As I'm driving north through New Canaan you saw patches here and there and I noticed snow on cars coming "from" the north.

As I kept driving, it was on the trees more then more on the ground. I wasn't driving long before I came across this scene!

Night & Day! Like Spring to Winter! Same Road. Only 15 minutes up the road.

Plows were out. People shoveling.

"10" in Norfolk at 1,400 feet and nothing in Bristol, CT at 200 feet? And people think forecasting in CT is easy!"Source

Picture from Norfolk.

NWS Boston:

NWS Albany also has 9". NWS Boston needs to stick to their coverage zones. LOL!!

I don't see any reports from CT with NWS Boston.

So far what I saw in Vista, NY just north of New Canaan is the south most with more than 2 inches. I wish we had spotters or reports from every single town. That would be awesome

Looks like NWCT and SEMA was the bullseye zone last 24hrs

Yes, that light shading is an estimate. It connects the dots so to speak. Hard event to get exact unless your customizing the map yourself. This one is automated. I can't even claim 0.10" but technically a trace since some stuck before it melted.
