I saw this on the 10 day forecast when I looked at the weather app on Friday morning:

"Monday. 90% chance of snow with potential for significant amount of snow."

Boom! 3 days later, not one single flake, but about negative -500 degrees in Danbury. What an absolute bust, and a colossal let down.

What little potential there was must be gone as NWS doesn't mention it in their forecast anymore. Just a mention of "30% chance of snow showers" Sat. night into Sun. morn, that doesn't sound like much, and even that must be something that's being "pushed south" too as I only saw it in their forecasts for NYC, southern Westchester, Greenwich and Stamford, not for points further north nor further into CT.

ALL models are OTS south of us for Thursday. Done.

Next chance of snow is Sunday the 9th but ONLY the GFS has it.

Next chance after that is the 12th/13th EURO shows a big 8"+ snowstorm, GFS shows light snow showers.

Temps will stay below normal for another week+ with some pops to 30s/40s naturally.

--

Only 9 times in BDR history has the temp been lower than 10° in March ...They hit 11° overnight.
Only 3 times in BDL history has the temp gone below 0° in March .... They hit 4° overnight

So we are currently 20-25 below normal for the hour.

Premature Stat:

Coldest March mean temp at BDR(Bridgeport,CT) is 32.1° in 1960. They are currently sitting at 26.7° (8.7 below normal)

Staying firm in the 20s across CT at 2pm. We're not alone in this cold guys. It's pretty widespread. It's only in the 30s down to the gulf coast.

I really hope this isn't a repeat of the summer that never was. One of my neighbors, who is quite elderly, told me that there was one summer that it never really warmed up. People were wearing sweaters and jackets in July and August. Just the thought of that gives me goosebumps.

^I'm thinking the opposite. I feel like this Summer will be extreme, and dear lord, I hope not. I don't want Southern U.S-like weather in CT. I can't stand 90+ with crazy humidity for days on end. :/
