Models are starting come in It still 5 days out...More details as we get closer and things come together
Canadian is a rain storm. GFS is light snow. No point mentioning these things yet. It drives people nuts. I used to just mention storms when it was consistent on most models. There's no agreement right now. Sunday night we'll know more.

Good to hear they found grass areas.. I thought you said snow melted from the Pond. I assume you still have ice on it. I do around here. Hate for the birds to start starving. In fact there was a story about ducks dying.

This is all that should be said right now about Wednesday:

NWS Boston

Hazardous Weather Outlook:
Quote:
HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
418 PM EST FRI MAR 7 2014

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN
CONNECTICUT
...CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS...EASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHEASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHERN NEW
HAMPSHIRE...NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND AND SOUTHERN RHODE ISLAND.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THERE IS A LOW TO MODERATE PROBABILITY THAT A SIGNIFICANT WINTER
STORM COULD AFFECT THE REGION SOMETIME WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY.
HOWEVER...PRECIPITATION TYPES AND AMOUNTS ALONG WITH TIMING ARE
HIGHLY UNCERTAIN
.

IN ADDITION...THERE IS A LOW PROBABILITY THAT A WIND ADVISORY
WOULD BE NEEDED SOMETIME WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND/OR THURSDAY ALONG THE
COAST. FORTUNATELY...ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDES ARE LOW SO THE WORST
CASE SCENARIO WOULD BE JUST A ROUND OF SOME MINOR COASTAL
FLOODING/SPLASH ALONG THE EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS COAST ON THURSDAY.
Lets try and rein it in here and not flood our forum with maps.

I will say this.. if we do get accumulating snows there won't be any rapid melting afterwards for a week+ "maybe". Unless theres rain. Temps dont look to support rapid melting but that can change this far out. Sunlight and even 40s would melt it though. But I don't see 50s/60s yet. Pretty crazy if we have a snowpack turn of April.

Snow has fallen in April but I don't think an old snowpack is seen often.

Enjoy the warm day today. Good time to chop unwanted ice out there.

Awesome pics Looks very New England homy!
Love the fire pit there. lol
Wonder how the ice is holding up today. Get the squeegee out!

Amazing feel outside but... I'm standing there thinking I can do a few things around the house but there's still snow everywhere. Feels very weird I can't clean up or anything with warm sun on March 8th
