Not as much lucky as a time of year called April. If it WAS down here we'd be really unlucky more than anything.

Speaking of unlucky... There's storm after storm coming it looks like. No extreme temps either way still. But with the loop of storms how lucky can one get that cold air comes down at the same time? This time of year you have to get dealt some pretty good cards.

GFS left. Canadian right for hour 240 April 8th time frame. As you can see GFS shows a 4th Blizzard for the season on the MA cape. (Poor Nantucket) and snow for us.

But the Canadian sends the storm to the Great Lakes which would send warm air up to us but it then spawns a new low over West Virginia that looks like it goes off the coast. It doesn't go past hour240.

So out of all the storms we're getting this April 8th looks the most interesting.

I'm at 0.43" of rain so far today.

I got a coastal Flood alert for tides running above normal. Flood Watch for all 8 Counties in CT.

Current Watches and Warnings. That Winter Warning in West Virginia is calling for 4-6" above 2500 feet

Got the stove going. 46 and very damp and chilly here. Feels much colder than it is out there probably due to the humidity.

Long term it is looking cool and damp into spring. No real big warmup yet in sight. In fact looking at some long term stuff it looks like it might be a cold and damp summer as well.

I thought humidity makes it feel warmer? To me at least, it feels mild. Anyway, I do not mind this rain at all, I am just so grateful to shut the door on winter.

If WV is getting 4-6, Maine must be getting like 12-18 . Fortunately, no snow for Connecticut .

About a months worth of rain here in less than 24hrs. 3.20" rain total.

And just from a weak low pressure coming off the coast from West Virginia.
223 AM EDT SUN MAR 30 2014

A RECORD RAINFALL OF 2.15 INCHES WAS SET AT BRIDGEPORT CT YESTERDAY.
THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 2.09 SET IN 2010.

Here's a look at some River OBS

Below (I believe) about 50-60 degrees it actually makes it feel colder. Ever heard of the term, "a raw, damp, chilly day"?
