I've loved it. Almost made me forget how I miss the south and despise CT weather. Yes it's warm. Yes it get's uncomfortable, but it sure beats the cold for a constant 6+ months.

Enjoy it... I don't know how but I'm glad you can tolerate it.

Danbury (DXR) and Hartford (BDL), CT meteograms.

What I call Solar Warming.

24 to 31 degree rise in temps since this morning.

Spent a good part of the day at a friends a few block from this station. I don't think there are many posters from the shoreline. The difference between inland and the shore with a sea breeze is remarkable.

Was basically 75 all day with an amazing southerly sea breeze.

What cold for 6 months??? It is really only cold in Connecticut from late November to early March ( 4 months) and I would much rather have that than the unbearable heat from May to October. At least you don't have a yard to maintain during the cold period. Much rather shovel snow in the cold a couple of times over a few months than have to cut grass in the heat every week. JMHO, Jay

March and April are often cold, too. Sometimes even most of May.

This past winter was the exception, we moved to FL April 16th. We scraped ice and snow off our vehicles that morning I remember how cold it was the morning the movers came. CT does have decent weather, but I don't care if I ever use a snow shovel or an ice scraper again. As far vas the heat here, it's no different than a hot humid day in the northeast...I dont think ive seen 100 here but most days it gets to 91-92.

Nice to see you posting in here. I think that's a first I read about what you like/don't like. I like.

lol. If the polar vortex ever left the North Pole I think we'll have a problem.

Looking at the latest models nothings changed much... We were never supposed to get the anomalous cold.

This image is for Monday Evening but the bottom line is,;

the below normal temps don't go further south than the blue line and the well below normal temps (the core) stays west of the yellow line.

So here in CT will be above normal until Wednsday then we drop below normal after the front for couple days but Nowhere near like whats happening in the Plains and Midwest. Highs in the 60s mid July?? October like weather! For us just highs in the 70s but still.. cool for mid summer.
