With over 1.50-2" coming from a NorEaster you would see more posts from me if it was snow instead. LOL

Expect wind gusts over 20mph Tues-Friday (not all the time)
Expect clouds and over 2" of rain (not everywhere or all the time)

A clipper is coming down now, new coastal storm forms tomorrow and SLOW to move.

This entire setup is one of my Favorites. Just imagine if this was 2-3 months from now! Clipper drops snow then NorEaster burys us in it.

On that note .. See my post in the weather forum regarding that. Read the text on graphic as well. I think the Arctic Hawks told the squirrels here, that's why they are panicking about more snowstorms? LOL

No one in their right mind wants to see a storm that causes 300 deaths and 6 to 10 billion in damage.

Watching Montreal Canadien hockey and a commercial came on for snow tires. It was a very good commercial with info and reasons to get it.

I don't care if it snows less in CT why don't we push this on everyone that commutes? This way we can feel safer on the road with others the time when we get caught in snow on the road!

I always worry about someone who has balding tires!

High chance for above normal snowfalls I wonder if we see Feb 2013 repeat this winter.

In Quebec, it's the law you MUST have snow tires on! That should be the same law here.

Current radar this morning.

See the spin? Storm is circling, spinning, and strengthening off the coast and the Cut Off low about to stack on top of the surface low.

This will be a vertically stacked system, another favorite aspect of mine! (basically a storm on every level of the atmosphere)

NYC been getting rained on past 3hrs, I have nothing. Winds picking up a bit

[/URL]

See the Upper Low? Yesterday afternoon was over PA, now over Virginia as it swings around. It's basically stopping the surface low from moving. HOW FASCINATING IS THIS?

It's basically catching the storm and then swinging it northeast with it. Remember, upper level doesn't move as fast as surface. Hence the slow moving surface storm now.

In simple terms for the non gurus... expect rain, wind and clouds next 3-5 days.

Friday should be rain free then maybe another clipper with rain Saturday.

That would be 2 clippers in a week and a coastal storm. UH OH. LOL
