November without any big snow.

Give me just 3 months a year at least. And we know its not every week either. Only with rare years. We know roads are fine next day. We know we mow the lawn just couple months later. Just give me my 3 months.

We had an uneventful just 2 yrs ago!
You want it? You got it. Starting Sunday....

2 years ago wasn't too much. Yet the year before it was epic. My driveway (facing north) truly looked like the Mount Ranier Glacier for a whole month.

Cold clouds above. Beautiful December day. Feels like teens and 20s across the state with pokes of sun. Nantucket had Ocean effect Flurries before.

Air at 4000 feet is -10C/14F which is cold for this time of year. I see Lake effect snows happening too.

I think you will like the new thread I started. LOL Feel free to vent anyone.

While some areas like northern Michigan or Maine is having a banner year for snow, even Maine was above normal and warm in December! Some areas might not agree with a winter failure but lets face it, it wasn't a winterish December. In fact November was colder and snowier for most.

No ASOS site in ME, NH, VT, MA, RI went above freezing today. Only 2 in CT. 3 in NY. 3 in PA. Not even NYC went above

So basically Bridgeport and New Haven were the only ones north of NYC. lol

I'm telling ya...the December no snow theory will be squashed this year. The pattern change can happen quickly and at any time and this January will be a prime example.

Right now I'm at a hotel in Virginia and overheard a conversation with some older couple saying that they moved to Florida a few years ago and they're driving from somewhere in the northeast back to Florida (after visiting family there) and the woman was asked if she misses winter in the north and she said "I don't miss it AT all."

Seems like 90% of people who move out of CT are happy with their decisions, especially when it comes to climate.
