Latest Euro says you want flashbacks? Here ya go.
This is in F°!

First notice in the 50s on Sunday and temps above freezing Sunday morning. Rain.

Second Notice, No Clipper! .02"? Barely flurries.

Lastly... Airmass is impressive next week where it drops the surface to below zero Thursday morning in southern New England at night and well below zero in Northern New England. Single digits/teens during the day Thurs-Friday.

Then we warm up 2 days later. lol but into the 20s. Long Range BS, or maybe possibility?

Wow, is that saying -15 for Danbury on Jan 8 into the 9th? I know it's not impossible (they get a lot colder than the coast on a clear windless night), but wow!

Surface dewpoints. Wow. That would be bone dry! Probably 25+ below normal for dewpoints

Upton says Euro has some credibility regarding the cold airmass next week but still a week away. Airmass comes from the Polar region. Vortex strengthens and extends. Nice setup for this to happen.

Snow Saturday for couple hours Heads Up after 2pm.
Snow maybe Tuesday evening.

About the Cold next Week:

THE BROAD VORTEX OVER EASTERN CANADA AND ITS MARITIMES WILL INCREASE IN EXTENT AND STRENGTHEN THROUGH NEXT THU...WHICH WILL RESULT IN A BROAD TROUGH OVER THE EASTERN CONUS. MEANWHILE...A REX BLOCK DEVELOPS NEAR ALASKA IN RESPONSE TO THIS LARGE BLOCK. BY THE END OF THE PERIOD...THE EASTERN US TROUGH WILL AMPLIFY WITH THE H5 FLOW ORIGINATING FROM THE POLAR REGION WITH A VERY COLD AIRMASS POSSIBLE BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK. THE OP GFS ISN`T AS AMPLIFIED AS THE EC WITH THE H5 FLOW ACROSS THE COUNTRY...ALTHOUGH THE 12Z GEFS MEAN LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO LAST NIGHTS 00Z OP EC...SO THAT GIVES THE EC SOME CREDIBILITY. WE WILL HAVE TO SEE HOW IT EVOLVES OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

About the Snow/Ice Saturday:

STARTING AS SNOW AT THE ONSET SAT AFTN BUT CHANGING TO
PLAIN RAIN ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA BY SUN MORNING. WITH THE WINTRY
MIX EXPECTED SAT NIGHT...A WINTER WEATHER ADVSY IS POSSIBLE FOR
SOME LOCATIONS...MAINLY FOR FREEZING RAIN

About the Clipper Snow Tuesday:

ANOTHER CHC OF SNOW COMES TUE AFTN INTO TUE NIGHT...AND THE 12Z/01 EC HAS COME INTO BETTER AGREEMENT WITH TIMING OF THIS...QPF IS LIGHTER...AS A CLIPPER
SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE REGION. LAKE EFFECT/OCEAN EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS COULD IMPACT SOME LOCATIONS WED/THU

The 10 day forecast here in Norwalk shows absolutely NO snow. This is insane. There hasn't been a single millimeter of accumulation so far this year, here in Norwalk. Just two dustings on my car and that's it.

Lol. I had same reaction when I saw the smoke from my flue going NorthEast.

Looks like atmosphere already changing and the storm in Texas ready to head towards the great lakes pushing more warmth up to us in 48hrs

I didnt know we were at the highs until I saw your post. Thanks
