You might be right.. might start with 1 now and that would be a atmospheric trigger we need.

New Euro12z just out has a mini snowstorm Saturday. This is a coastal big storm, cold enough for snow. No models have it as rain or an interior track... They all stay off the coast. Just a matter of getting that perfect track for snow.

Right now NWS shows Saturday as a complete miss for up in Danbury (sunny, high of 34), and a 30% chance of a rain/snow mix down in NYC (but also saying "partly sunny", LOL!)

Current Radar

PA got & getting some snow. Drizzle in Philly.

This is the shortwave that should shred apart before getting to us.
Although looks good for a spinkle/flurry in couple hours.

Moisture/storms typically follow the 500mb flow so you can get an idea where the moisture is headed here. Right for NYC if it survives.

I think Saturday and early next week misses. However, thereafter I think its all setting up. We will see,...its getting close. my worry is does the cold air stay. I think it does.

Gotta love Upton. Wanted to see some discussions after the 12z models today..

You have Taunton on left, Mount Holly in middle, & Upton on right for this Weekend storm.

In short.. NWS Boston acknowledges latest models bring it closer to coast and just Southeast of that key spot off the coast for snowstorm. They are going with a glancing blow.

NWS Philly says system moving fast so precip not all that much as it goes from Northern Florida to Benchmark area off MA coast within 24hrs..

NWS NY says possible coastal storm and they'll just keep a chance of precipitation around. Still lots of uncertainty.

They all mention another possible coastal low for Tuesday...not a clipper. Talk about active. Gees.

News is already putting up banners on TV for how much snow will we get? So you tune in for weather. First I'm hearing of anything coming for tomorrow/tonight.

One of my favorite storm tracks. One if positioned right off the coast and enough cold air can bring a decent snowstorm for us and even blizzards!

Will look at over night models in morning and post in morning..
