Got the fire going again this morning. Max yesterday 43F. Low this morning 34F. Which is normal for end of Feb/beginning of March.

----------------------------------------

Northern CT & many spots haven't had daytime temps above normal much.

Each week featured just 2 or 3 days being near or above.

This should change after today so will feel like a weight has been lifted for many folks.

Last month we were in the teens and 20s for lows.

BDL only 10 times the daytime temps been above normal since January 26th

That's 10 out of last 74 days

Can't stress that enough... There's a science to weather and results.. And because of that Vortex staying on the otherside of the pole, the Jet stream over the U.S moves north and stays for more than a day or two..

Enjoy this weekend, it's going to be nice.

By now in 2012 Bridgeport hit 60°F or warmer 16 times, 2010 they hit it 15 times, this year....not even once.

1pm temps:

Unbelievable its 30s down to Philly latitude. I was thinking maybe this area was the south most point of 30s. Gees.

Normal Max for Philly is 62F

All these are near the extreme cold side of the daily records.

Last day for it for many. Enjoy it.

Some areas of CT got freezing rain last night... You would think mid April it would melt during the day... Unreal. Still ice on the trees midday April 9th.

It's like one long Winter Infomercial

But wait................... there's more.

Looooong range GFS and more importantly the EURO as well shows another trough in the Northeast with VERY COLD temps and moisture around.

522 Dam end of April??? Daaaammn

Is the Vortex coming back to Canada end of April?????

Anyone north of that 540 line is just damn cold in this time frame.

Why is the Northeast so cold today?

Clouds & Winds off Cold Atlantic Waters is why. Fish Storm! Winds coming right off those cold waters!
