I am in Central NJ for a Christmas party. Been snowing here since 6 am. Very heavy band here now and its moving towards CT. Heaviest so far this morning. A little over 2 inches on the ground.

Drive home, kept it at 60 or below. Got passed by several people doing 70+ like it was dry. Smh some people just don't get it.

Map shows your not too far from the rain if you're in central Jersey though I don't think the rain/snow line has moved all morning.

Here in southern Westchester it seemed to stop for awhile and it's starting up again, though still less intense than 930ish this morning.

NWS NY

"We are at a 26:1 snow ratio here. 0.8 for snow... 0.03 of liquid melted!" 26:1 not something you see near the coast.

Snow is so fine you can blow on it.

Side note.... 5th Flock of Birds I seen in last few hours heading south

Atlantic City in the 40s, Connecticut in the Teens. That High pressure northeast of us means business. Remember, winds rotate clockwise with highs.

Current temps, Radar & Surface. Still got few hours before the heavier stuff moves in which is now near Philly

We're getting flurries here now in northeastern MA. It has smelled like snow for at least a day now (the unscientific way of predicting snow lol). It looks like a huge storm in size, unfortunately.

Snowing finely here now, roads are coated, love watching it pile up. Snow, snow, snow! Almost time to start the fire.

Wow looks like the heavy stuff is all rain and the rain-snow line moved up to about Trenton, NJ. Will be interesting to see how the big contrast (under 20 from White Plains and Danbury on north but over 40 from Atlantic City and Delaware on south) plays out.

Anyway, here the snow stopped again for now....
