21 Signs You're From Connecticut

I don't know why I love these things...

I related to well over half of these.

Although, I may be the only kid who grew up in Connecticut who has never been to Quassy. I have been to Lake Compounce way to many times, however.

I had never been to Quassy, and only went to Lake Compounce for the first time ever 3 summers ago with my daughter and one of her friends. And, I grew up nearby in Cromwell.

I hate Buzzfeed. Cheap lists and ripped off IP. It's like the bottom feeder of the Internet and they make a ton of money off it.

What the heck is "Guildford" and where's the beach there? And who takes Amtrak to NYC? 2 signs this list wasn't written by a real native, next on Buzzfeed.

It sounds like it was written by a 13 year old. I've never been dragged to Mark Twain's house, we visited the home just last year.
I didn't see good pizza or grinders mentioned anywhere.
Yeah, probably bogus.

That's about the quality of writing on Buzzfeed. Might also be why it's so popular.

Been to? I worked at Quassy when I was in high school. I also used to swim at the MRA next door all the time, especially when I worked for the town and would take my lunch there. The lake wasn't that bad.

For us older posters, Lake Compounce was a high-value destination in the 1960's. And it was only a short drive from Hartford/New Britain.
Never heard of Quassy but we liked Riverside Park in Springfield a lot.

I can only relate to one on that entire list! (being dragged to a historic home). Must not have been written by someone from lower Fairfield County, I haven't heard of most of these places...
