Currently renting in Milford & happy with the schools so far. Looking to buy next year & trying to figure out all the different areas that might suit us. A coworker lives in Wallingford, but has a child much younger. I would love to hear from parents about the middle & high school. Beyond test scores are these schools you recommend? Class sizes? Strong school board? Good admin? AP classes? Tell me what data won't please

We have lived in Wallingford for almost three years now. Our experience has been with the middle school on the east side of town and our oldest son just started high school at Lyman Hall. So far, we are very, very pleased with the schools. When we relocated to Connecticut our sons left one of the higher ranked school districts in our last state (Vermont) and we find the education to be as good if not better in Wallingford.

It's a pretty established school system and I don't know any unhappy parents there. Wallingford seems to be the new hotspot for newlyweds and young families, I've noticed. In terms of things to do, it's probably up there with Milford. I've had to drive to soccer games in Wallingford quite a bit over the past few years and learned that it's a pretty large town...and I believe your electric bill will be much cheaper.

I'm glad to see the few posts here so positive. Me and my wife moved to Wallingford 4 years ago, have a new family now and one of the reasons we picked the town was because of it's school ratings and reviews. Our neighbors have kids who went through the system, one in high school now and they've been more than pleased with the education.
