Well you can try Old Saybrook that is really convenient and not too far. Just a relaxing drive up Route 9. Old Saybrook has plazas also coastal as well. Just saying Old Saybrook schools are good but not the best. You can consider Stonington for better schools but that might be too far a commute.

Marlborough and Hebron are also good towns but they are a little far from amenities, you would have to go to Willimantic for that which isn't too far maybe around 20 min drive, not exactly sure how the traffic is on Route 66.

As another poster said Milford is also a good choice but its more crowded and the same scale schools as Old Saybrook, farther from Middletown as well. On the other hand it is a bit cheaper then Old Saybrook though.

The mean pricing doesn't tell the whole story as Milford has more condos and tons of the small post-war cottage homes.

It's more telling to look at similar homes and price per square foot. Rent is also significantly higher in Milford.

I agree. I would say comparable homes in Old Saybrook would be less expensive than Milford. Jay

Now I need recommendations on a realtor/company??? Do I need to get more than one if I want to look into wallingford/north haven/middletown/cromwell/rocky hill etc...?

THANKS!!!
Sorry - I didn't completely read the entire thread, but I'm originally from Cromwell, CT. If an overly good school district isn't a high priority, I would suggest looking into Cromwell and condos in Middletown (Right on the Cromwell/Middletown border - not sure of the name, but condos around Tuttle Road & East St.) For agents, I would personally recommend Mark Toledo, who specializes in the Cromwell/Middletown area (As of ~2010, he was with Prudential).
