how does the enrollment process for norwalk work? Can your child go to any elementary school no matter where they live in norwalk? Brookside elementary is near but cranbury ranks higher. Also, I see that the elementary school days begin at 9:20, can you drop your kids off earlier? I will prob have to be at work before 9:20

You will have to call the Board of Education for this. Some towns allow it, others do not. Jay

You have to enroll your child in the district your home is located in, you can't choose the school.

Some elementary schools in Norwalk are 9:20, others are 8:40 but get out earlier. Unlike most districts (though Stamford is very similar in this regard), elementary school is not necessarily the one in your neighborhood, I believe you make a first, second and third choice and they decide it from there. There are special cases, like an ELL child is usually assigned to Silvermine's bilingual program.

Check with the Board of Ed for further details, as Jay suggested, but I hope this helps.
