It's a small place inside, typical deli style. The owner is extremely friendly and will usually come out and talk to people.

If you wait until it warms up, they have a patio in the back now.

The Tikkaway owner is also one of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. I really hope he's successful.

^ I went to tikkaway end of last summer. -- was with 2 of my bosses and was during a quick lunch break in the middle of a midday deposition break, so time was a factor.. Food was great and awesome concept! We were in/out pretty fast I'm a big fan of coromandel in Stamford, but I think I actually liked tikkaway better...

Tikkaway owner and chef are both ex-Coromandel.

Ahh makes sense now. Food was great, but I think I was really digging the fast turnaround. Don't get me wrong - I love Coromandel - STM, but sometimes it's easy to linger there a bit too long. Tikkaway had just as good food, but iirc I felt like we were in/out in no time, which was perfect that day (and would be most days! Lol!) Thanks for the background info...
