Hartford was bustling with life today as thousands enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Plenty of regional pride out there in the streets and businesses having fun!

People that don't know hartford other then getting the info from the news media, which is mostly liberal in CT, don't know the real things that goes on in the city, the people and way of life in the city.

Hartford is still as poor, dangerous, crimes and drugs as ever. People don't understand how the criminals operate in hartford and things that go on that don't get reported.

There are a lot reasons not to live downtown if you don't work there. Not to mention if you own a car and the ridiculous mill rate.

I don't buy the fact that people that don't work in downtown that wants to live there.

As I have said to you several times before I have two coworkers who live in downtown Hartford and work in the suburbs. They tell me they have neighbors that do the same thing. Whether you want to believe it or not, there are people who want to live in an urban area but work in the suburbs. Infact, I am pretty sure a couple of anchors on Channel 3 do this as well. Jay

As I said, most people who live in downtown work in downtown, I never said, nobody lives there that don't work there. Compare to other downtowns in the state, where a lot more people live there that don't work there.

Actually you did say that. The quote is "I don't buy the fact that people that don't work in downtown that wants to live there." There is no reason to believe that downtown Hartford cannot have more people living there and working in the suburbs. Downtown Hartford has theaters, museums, entertainment venues and a lot of excellent restaurants. Some people would like to be near them so downtown would be a good place for them to live. Jay

The word "People", It doesn't mean all. Not to mention, I already said most people who live in downtown works in downtown, what does that mean to you? That means the few remaining don't work there.

Downtown got nice things to do, but most people would still live somewhere else and travel there for entertainment.
