I'm moving to SoNo next week. As a young professional I know that there are plenty of others relocating to the area.

Any advice on which parts to stay away from?

You should avoid Ely Avenue, just a few blocks away from Main Street. That area is pretty slummy and has housing projects and these are rough. You probably wouldn't even end up there unless you're lost, just be advised because it's close to downtown.

Tucson is better than the whole state of CT.

Never been there, but Family Guy made reference to Tucson calling it "The Dumbest City in America." The creator, who is from Kent CT, apparently hates Tucson for some reason.

Family Guy - Peter in Tucson - YouTube

SIDENOTE: Has anyone seen "The Other Woman" it's based in CT and they make reference to Norwalk calling it a crap-hole.

Can't be as bad as new haven. Last time I was there at night there were 5 police cars and 4 roaming sentries (in pairs of 2) within a half mile radius.

That is your opinion. I do not find the dessert to be very attractive and the overall ugly sprawl of Arizonia is pretty aweful IMHO. Jay

I've actually been to Tucson and thought it was very dirty and poor looking. The roads were awful and there's only one interstate that goes through the metro area. There are very few jobs available and lots of problems with illegal aliens and crime. If anything, the Phoenix area is better IMO.

Because Tucson is a complete cesspool.
