What? Is that English? Maybe try again with a tutor.

I root for the northeast, even though Virginia is called home now, I was born and raised in Putnam NY. 15 minutes from Danbury, I loved Marcus Diary, fun place.

Sadly the tax burdens up there are driving many out. It makes no sense to me for citizens to have to pay so much in taxes that they're pushed to point of just getting by.

If you're making 75k a year annually and you have to worry about every penny, the state needs to reconsider it's policies.

Almost anywhere else in America 55-100k a year salaries are decent, livable, professional wages, except in the northeast.

Yes, I should get a touch screen phone tutor. If you can't deduce that sentence because of 2 misplaced spaces then you either have subpar critical thinking skills or you simply feel the need to flame me because you lack a viable counterargument.

There is alot more wrong with that then 2 spaces. Care to maybe reread and clarify or you just want to try to be insulting and flaming yourself?

These lists are just plain comical to me.
Maybe if you had a job your take on it would be different...

Geez, these articles pop up once a month. Some site I've never heard of before decides to combine four data points they consider important into one number, rank the states by that number, and then spam it to every possible source to get clicks. Since "worst" or "best" states play totally into people's preconceptions, they spread like a wildfire.

Yup, nothing more than click bait and people on City Data Forum fall for it every time.

I love that most of these best/worst lists are taken from ridiculous sample sizes, as in "60 people were polled via telephone across the country" LOL. So basically...people who have a landline AND answer the phone for telemarketers were polled. Great representative sample

wth are you talking about? I have a great "job" that allows me to literally live anywhere in the country and I choose CT after traveling to 49 U.S. states and living in 6 of them.

Care to clarify??

Tell us why you chose CT after your travels? I am originally from TX, and miss the lower cost of living. However, when I visit, the heat is a lot harder to handle after 10 years in CT. Plus, I need to do much less driving in CT than in TX.

I think you just answered your own question. Add in being near the greatest city in the world and still being close to mountains and beaches and you have the reason most people are willing to pay a premium to live here. Jay
