That said the SoNo Collection is going to be very upscale and looking to lure shoppers who now go to Greenwich, White Plains or Manhattan to shop at upscale stores there. I am not even convinced it will impact Westport that much. Jay

Update on SoNo Shops. Looks to be 65% leased with anchors, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom, fully committed. Jay

I can't wait to see this mall, in a few years. I'm hoping it comes out very similar to the Westfield Century City, that is opening bit by bit.

Since SoNo has two of the same anchors, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom, it should be similar. The difference will be SoNo is an indoor mall while Century City is open air. California's weather is much better year around so it allows that. Jay

And, Century City has Eatly, starting Friday, and Tesla. It's quite nice...it's actually my neighborhood mall.

Is the Nordstrom Rack still slated to go into The Waypointe District? That was supposedly set when I moved in there, in 2014!

No, apparently they backed out of the store as did a couple of other previously announced tenants. Jay

Interesting tidbit in this article you posted:
"Norwalk-based Stew Leonard’s has filed plans to take over a portion of a Sears store at GGP’s Paramus Park mall in New Jersey, with a Stew Leonard’s spokeswoman reiterating Tuesday the company will not be moving its flagship Norwalk store to the SoNo Collection."

I think someone may have posted about Stew Leonard's Paramus store before here. There was a lot of speculation of where it was going to be in New Jersey since they had said they were expanding into New Jersey next. Some thought Short Hills or Wayne where there are major regional shopping districts. I am not sure anyone thought it would be Paramus. This says a lot about the condition of Sears if they are giving up a prime location like that for a smaller store there (moving into their service center).

I don't think anyone ever expected Stew's to move their flagship store to SoNo. Not sure why they were even asked that. Jay
