I live right here and all but one building is demolished. Plans to start new construction 3/2018 and have residents living there in a year.

The view from Route 7 connector

Dec 7, 2017

I have to assume they have a webcam or timelapse on the project? If not, get with the times. Lol

Just went by that project this afternoon, there seemed to be dozens of workers all over the place. The progress they've made on it is amazing.

It appears demolition of an old office building owned by Building Land & Technology of Stamford near Norwalk's massive Merritt 7 complex. I wonder what they are going to do with the site. Jay

Past by this on Main Avenue.. Probably more office buildings?

Google Street View. Looks like they started working on it in the Fall last year.

Actually..I'm confused.. I thought they were tearing down this brick building... it looks old. But look at GoogleStreet. No building there Sept 2017. So this is new? Maybe they used old bricks?

Another view

Looks like something new behind there too. There's a street there? I thought that was the Connector behind this road.

More to come

This is a letter to the Editor of the paper. By state law, any development that is 100,000 square feet or larger or that has 200 or more parking spaces and abuts, adjoins or has a significant impact on a state highway must obtain a Major Traffic Generator Certificate from the Connecticut Office of State Traffic Administration (OSTA). To get that Certificate the developer must do a traffic impact study and propose a plan to mitigate their impact on traffic. I am sure this has been done otherwise construction could not have started. All this guy has to do is contact the city or OSTA and he would get his answers. Keep in mind though that the existing problems on I-95 are not the responsibility of the developer to correct. Jay
