Oh this Nordstrom will have Louboutin? Not all of them do. The designers vary based on location.

I actually prefer Stuart Weitzman and Jimmy Choo--Weitzman I was only previously able to get in Greenwich.

I'm not "amazed" they don't have all their stores--I'm just surprised at the level of stores eventually going in. As someone mentioned, to an upper-middle class woman, Nordstrom and Zara are more on their level than Macy's, etc.

Not "will have them", they already do, displayed front and center. Husbands cringed when walking in with wives.

Who knows whats eventually going in, still a work in progress.

Where? I prefer Nordstrom or the standalones, since the SA are generally wonderful and remember you. But, having another shop when I'm in town, is good to know.

SoNo Collection’s glass balcony railings raise safety concerns.

I just read this. It seems more like someone’s personal opinion rather than actual fact. There is no way the city would have allowed the mall to open if the railings were unsafe.

Also note a worker was killed in a fall at the mall the other day but that was on the exterior of the mall. Jay

Agree. This is just a sensational article that stems from yet another moms Facebook group, where dramatic and often ignorant “mommies” post their layman comments. In fact, the glass used for these railings is tempered safety glass, which is incredibly difficult to break and when it does, it’s shatter proof.

“ For it to be considered safety glass, the surface compressive stress should exceed 100 megapascals (15,000 psi). As a result of the increased surface stress, if the glass is ever broken it only breaks into small circular pieces as opposed to sharp jagged shards. This characteristic makes tempered glass safe for high-pressure and explosion proof applications.”

From Wikipedia ^

Someone needs to tell these moms their kids are fine. Now vaccinate them.

LOL @vaccinate them! yes!

Anyhow--this glass is pretty common at new malls. As other posters have indicated, it's safety glass. Additionally, shouldn't this mother have a hold on her kid in a public place vs letting him "explore the joints" as a toddler? Okay lady.

VERY sensationalized.

Fairfield County's helicopter moms are out in full force. You guy's are just scratching the surface of what goes on.

I thought the rails looked great. Nice, clean modern lines.

I'm friends with some of those moms (grew up down there)...I say friends, loosely. Once they had kids and went nuts, we became less close.

I have other friends with kids who are NOT helicopter moms, thank god.

Really looking forward to seeing the layout--hopefully in February!
