He lives in New Fairfield. He will be working in SoNo. I told him he should commute down RT 7, but I am unsure of the commute times on RT 7. I know they widened part of it, but still unsure. He has to get to his job at 9:30AM and leaves at 2:30PM. How is the commute at those times...I wish those were my hours.
I'd say 1hr to 1:15 on worse days, maybe with some rain. Don't trust Google Maps estimated times around Fairfield county areas around rush hours. Completely inaccurate. You can and should use the traffic feature to see how heavy it is and where.

They wouldn't need to use 95/15 though, just 84 to 7 direct to SoNo. So it's mostly just slow traffic, stop lights, etc. It could go over an hour in bad weather for sure though. It can definitely be a frustrating commute just with all the stoplights and whatnot.

Just a thought, to get from 7 to SoNo involves taking West Street, which is in the 95 interchange. Does 95 and/or 15 backup 7? When I drove on 95N, the ramp for 7 was clogged.

The 95 N on ramp from 7 will back up in the mornings, but will not affect the SoNo exit. Each exit has its own lane.
I know that, but you have the people who ride in the moving lane then merge to the exit lane last minute. For example, I-684N to 84E.
It happens, but its pretty rare in my experience.
