I didn't know there was a move for Milford to move counties? I don't think it will happen any time soon - have any towns moved counties in the past 20-30 years?

I don't known but why would the Yellow Page add milford to fairfield county.
Even though Milford is in the Judicial Circuit of New Haven County, it is considered part of both New Haven and Bridgeport metros... Yellow Pages probably just did that for their own reasons.
There will not be any changes to county lines because they don't mean very much and there is no governance in CT on a county level. There are often changes to the RPOs, but those are not legally binding in most cases.
New Milford is included in my Northern Fairfield County White/yellow Pages -- New Milford is obviously in Litchfield County. It doesn't mean anything other than New Milford is considered part of the greater Danbury area even if it's in another county. It won't be joining Fairfield County either.
Counties have little meaning here in Connecticut except for geographical reference. Milford has long been a suburb of both Bridgeport and New Haven. Many of our younger family friends moved to Milford for their first home because it was less expensive than towns in the Bridgeport area. The reason that the Yellow Pages you note includes Milford is that Milford is a regional shopping/business mecca so a lot of businesses and services who served the Bridgeport area are located there. This. It doesn't matter what county Milford is in. Counties mean nothing in Connecticut, and I hope that continues to be the case. We don't need another layer of government to pick our pockets.
