So Mohegan Sun doesn't have any grounds to wander?

Are those beaches close enough that it would be reasonable to commute to Hebron each day?
Stay at Mohegan for the week. The beaches, Mystic (seaport, aquarium) are all 30min away. Do these activities during the day while your husband is working. Maybe Friday and Saturday night head to Hartford and stay there for two nights. Hartford has the theater and the science center which are both fun. Also West Hartford is close by. I would assume you could find hotels cheaper in Hartford on the weekends compared to Mohegan.

I've never been to CT so I'm open to all suggestions of where to stay! I wasn't sure if it would be too cold to enjoy beaches in October (19-25)? I won't have a car during the day so I need somewhere that is walking distance to restaurants and activities. And I definitely want a hotel with an indoor pool b/c my daughter loves to swim! Any other suggestions?

There really isn't much to walk to from Mohegan Sun. Any activity or restaurant you walk to will likely be at the casino. Can you rent a car while in town? Suburban Connecticut without a car is quite limiting.

Then you are probably best to stay at the Mohegan Sun. There are a few grassy areas outside that look safe enough to take your child outside. I am not sure anywhere else will have an indoor pool. The rate of $215 sounds good for a luxury place. I also like the suggestion of going to Hartford for the weekend.

We are coming from Ohio. We will have a car but my husband will need to take it for work during the day. We aren't set on the Mohegan Sun, it just seemed like it had a lot of options for dining, shopping and entertainment. We don't gamble, so the casino isn't a draw for us at all. My daughter will be nine months, so we don't need anything huge destinations to entertain her. She can play happily with a shoebox for 30 minutes

I'll look into Hartford, it sounds lovely.

CT and Ohio is a big different..

CT is small state in both New England and NYC metro area our cities are small and dense under 150,000/under. There are parts of Hartford you need to avoid.
