I just noticed that a brand new Lowes is being built in Norwalk as we speak. The land clearing was done over the past week and now they're working super hard to make it happen. It will be located on Connecticut Ave next to Clinton St. Pretty close to the new Norwalk Firehouse that was built and opened last year.

Ha! More traffic for exits 13-16. Man do I hate driving through Norwalk.

Well, maybe it will pressure the Home Depot to fire the surly, lazy employees there. Not all obviously but many employees at that HD are nasty. Should not be engaging with the public.

I agree. I've had poor experiences with customer service employees at the Home Depot on Connecticut Ave. They're just.....STUPID and not helpful.

One more reason to avoid that side of Norwalk. I like Lowes but traffic in that area is already horrendous.

I have a legitimate question... When do humans use their brains and realize the limit of one area's population?

Is it when we take naps at the traffic light?
Is it when there are countless honking horns?
Is it when 50% of people have respiratory issues?
Is it when roads deteriorate faster?
Is it when there's literally no more space to build?

I mean I understand the revenue part of it but when you don't have roads/space to support extra population/congestion WHY!!! I'm talking about area in general. People "drove" to Milford for that Lowes.. GUESS WHAT WILL HAPPEN NOW... People from NY will drive to Lowes in Norwalk.

That Post road there is 2 Lanes each direction. TWO!!!!!
I-95 still only 3 in each direction. Ridiculous.

Is Norwalk going to be "open" like this in Milford? Everything is so tight from Stamford to Norwalk.

Ridiculous!

New Lowes site on left in Norwalk. I-95 on the right just feet away.

I guarantee you the service at the Connecticut Ave HD is a million times better than that at the Yonkers HD.

I know, it's a disaster. Yet another reason to flee FFC!

Ugh, really? I don't expect much from folks at retail in this part of the country, as they are pretty surly across the board (like, no eye contact and really seem to wish you were not shopping). In HD Norwalk you will see a cluster of employees gathered around talking and they will ignore you as a group!

My sister works for an HD in Tucson, AZ and she was pretty surprised at the Norwalk store - I guess HD corporate makes best-in-service their #1 company value. Kinda funny.

I have no experience with Lowe's. I try to go to smaller Ace type hardware stores when I can, the products are often better quality though you pay more.
