SeaDoo brings up a fair point. So much hyperbole--- we are close with many other parents from the kids school, and a dozen friends that live throughout the state. Outside of being unhappy about Malloy, higher taxes and the prospect of tolls... all are quite happy here. It's pretty much that absolute.

That's how we feel. There are things we're not crazy about when it comes to how this state is run-- but no place is perfect. This is home. Our friends, family and lives are here. Most unhappy people who move-- and bring their unhappiness with them. If you're so unhappy with the governor that you let it effect you to the point of moving, you really need to take a long hard look at your life.

I now live in both the wine country of CA and Litchfield County, depending on the time of year. I won't give up either one until I absolutely have to.

Absolutely, if you enjoy liberal nanny-state wastelands with an insane cost of living.

Seriously, life is better if you aren't so miserable. You must be a joy to spend time with.

I like sprawl, subdivisions, and flat terrain. The midwest (particularly Indianapolis and Chicago's suburbs), Texas, and perhaps Las Vegas seem more and more appealing by the day.
In your future, I see a cab ride. have fun out in the sticks (plains and desert)
