Alcohol and immature 20 something lower income bros with too much time on their hands don't mix well. Somebody's team or girl was dissed and the bullets start flying in the wild ,wild, west down there.

I wonder how many of the homicides were targetted (drugs, love triangles, revenge), how many were accidental (a kid plays with his father's gun and accidentally discharges killing someone), and how many were random (someone walking down the street and someone kills them for no reason or to rob them.)

In terms of general safety, the random homicides are the ones to worry about. All the other ones require a set of conditions for them to be a possibility for the average Joe.

Needless to say, most people that are killed know their murderer. Its practically the same situation with rape victims, most know the perpetrator and usually he's either a friend of the family or even a family member, someone the family trust completely.
