I feel like Hartford is worse than Bridgeport. New Haven and Bridgeport both have the bad areas, but unless you need drugs why would anyone be hanging in those areas anyway? Really no reason to be hanging around Stratford Ave or Marina Village if you have no reason being there.

Yep, I have no idea about the accuracy of NeighborhoodScout. They are subsidiary of Location Inc which is a geographic big-data analytics company. I bet they’re able to take the FBI’s crime reports of NYC and break it down by borough pretty easily.

And yes, some of those cities are significantly larger than Hartford and New Haven, so I pardon my inaccuracy. But still, they all have similar population densities, so I don’t see why this would justify higher rates of violent crime in CT’s cities.
I’m not really seeing any data that supports that the city limits of Hartford and New Haven delineate a more urban core than these other cities listed, which is what many of you are saying.
You realize that using your source, would be sort of like if I worked for McDonald's and went into Burger King and told the manager that studies show McDonald's burgers are superior, right?

I believe that's from data in 2012 or 2013, and a year old article. Just FYI.

Good thing we enacted all those fancy new magical gun laws. I knew those degenerate POS in BP, NH and Hartford would comply. Although one of them, I could swear, I saw him with 11 and not 10 rounds in his magazine. Someone should arrest that guy.

and NYc and ANY city in california and NJ.

Lets not forget about South America. Some of the strictest gun control in the world while also the slummiest region of the world (minus the middle east). South America only accounts for like 8% of the world population but makes up 33% of global violent crimes.

Is anyone really surprised to find out that CT uses a failing and useless strategy to drive public safety legislation? Apparently our glorious leaders find it more amusing to drive away businesses and create felons out of their working-class populous than to make evidence-based decisions.
