Hi everyone- I had some brain issues recently- it was recommended that I see a good neurolgist, and separately a psychologist or psychiatrist. I believe the issues are stemming from a tbi long ago. Preferably with a neurologist that utilizes tests like spect imaging. Bonus for supplement knowledge. As for a psych doctor- I have experienced what might be called an awakening. I'm in fairfield, but I would be ok with any docs located from norwalk to milford, monroe trumbull etc. Has anyone had any good experiences with any docs they would recommend? Feel free to pm if you don't want it public. Thanks-m

I would highly, highly recommend Associated Neurologists on Sand Pit Road in Danbury. Dr. Jan Mashman is an amazing doctor. They also have an office in Southbury.

I also would HIGHLY recommend going to Yale. I know someone who has neurological issues which no one could figure out. The doctors at Yale did. They took the time to review the case records, talk to the patient, assure them and then steer them in the right direction for treatment. These doctors are world class. Jay

Hi Kid- I called your recommendation. The lady thought I was nuts. She recommended her psych department Stylo and Jay- this one psych doctor thought yale is a great resource, but not so much for a first step. I have an appointment for a Fairfield Doc in December- still open to any suggestions. Thanks-Mark

My recommendation was for neurologists, not for psychiatrists. If you ever need an amazing neurologist, call them back. They're great.
