..........seems like CT could buy an armada of high speed Ferry's for the cost of 5 miles of tunnels. More government pork for ya...

A six pack of these might get the job done. Much more environmentally friendly too.

I'd bet Electric Boat could whip up a few of them and employ people living in CT, rather than have Metro North give the jobs to Kawasaki Rail like they do now.

Right. They would have to dig up the sea bed to prep it, but it wouldn't be tunneling under the ocean floor.
