Going to have to say Bridgeport. For what it's worth I grew up in Seymour, CT and was therefore near Waterbury and close to Bridgeport as well. There are at least places in Waterbury that I would consider spending time in... Bridgeport, not so much.

I'm fairly concerned of my personal safety in a city like Bridgeport especially at night. I'm still concerned in Waterbury, but nearly as much.

Black Rock in Bridgeport is a good time. To be fair, there is NOTHING like it in Waterbury for bars, restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance of each other.

I wonder if the people of Black Rock say they are from "Bridgeport" or they say they are from "Black Rock" or they say they are from Fairfield.

I'm willing to bet a bunch would rather not say they are from "Bridgeport" lol

I never said the whole city was nice.

The edge along Middlebury are perfectly fine. There is a golf course I used to drink at over there.

I'm sure they say Black Rock. A former colleague lived there and would always say Black Rock, never Bridgeport. Just like people from Shelton who say they are from Huntington.

There is also nothing like Stratford Ave and the east end of Bridgeport in Waterbury.

An alarming number of people I've encountered think it's a part of Fairfield...

I don't mean the town of Fairfield, I mean the county of Fairfield.
