We've had plenty of 15-30 inch storms in the past and I think we all know what to expect.
Would be a shock to be a miss now. Now who is the bullseye? That could change 50 miles this way or that.

I want to check some technical in a bit but yeah, NOBODY will know who's the bullseye for sure, only a general idea of an area.

#1. The "rates". While there's going to widespread intense snow rates, nobody knows where it will be enhanced more.
#2. The usual "band" where will that get set up.
#3. The "wobble". Whats shown now might be different if the storm wobbles east/west during the event.

Blizzard Watches might get upgraded to a Warning including for NYC, Long Island, Southern CT and Boston

But everybody gets a little to a lot poorer. A storm like this is costly directly and indirectly.

The cost/benefit ratio is infinity, because there are no benefits.

This is why it's difficult to see the meteorologists on TV and Facebook hype with excitement. This amount of snow is a natural disaster. Not a typical snow day.

If it starts early enough or is forecast early enough for Monday you may actually see closures rather than early dismissals. And probably closed until Thursday if it lasts most of Tuesday. I could envision some districts like Bridgeport being closed all week.

Maybe jp thinks they'll just send out a helicopter to him if he has an emergency?
