the one pizza place in that area that i know i do like is Stretch's. haven't tried Newington Pizza though other stuff i've gotten there was pretty decent.
Yes, I think that is why the Newington Vito's closed. It just was not as good as their other locations or local pizza places nearby. Jay

I always get delivery from Franco's in Milford. It's awesome NY style pizza!

Naples in Farmington.

Better than Pepe's, but gets little recognition.

When did Amato's burn down? I went there a couple of times, and it was very, very good.

Naples - one of my favorites. Way better than Harry's, Luna's, and friends.

I know a lot of local people that like Naples Pizza and I lived in Avon for 5 1/2 years. I liked it, but didn't love it.

I would never think of calling Colony a "best" pizza. I reserve that for Neapolitan-style pizzas.

But every time I get back to Stamford, Colony is on my list for a visit. The thing about Colony is that while you can find a good Neapolitan pizza in any major metro. I can find NH-style in Chicago, San Diego, LA and other cities (and even the Anthony's Coal Fired chain does a respectable job in cities w/o a "real" NH-style place). But no place does Colony. Except Colony.

I don't think anyone makes a reasonably priced seafood pizza. Especially bad on a small size.

Vito's is my all-time favorite. Not even talking about the deep dish, just their regular pizza.

Other places I like are Central Pizza and Pizza World in Kensington (Berlin), and also Henry's in East Windsor. I would put these up there with the some of the New Haven places.
