I'm not sure why it's so crowded. Maybe inefficient cooks and serving staff? The out of state ones took forever and the Danbury one had us in there for like 2 hours (although that was closer to when it first opened).
It's crowded because there are more people that want to eat there then tables available, they're no more inefficient than any other restaurant.

Maybe the food varies by location but it's always been excellent when I've been there.

My 20 year old nephew's favorite gift is a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings, panera, chipotle, brio, Cheesecake Factory and the like. I think once you hit a certain age, you realize these are good places to stop in only if you happen to be in the area (as in at the mall) and for convenience's sake alone. But the long lines kind of defeat this one redeeming quality for me, and so I tend to just avoid them altogether. Works for me just fine, because I'd rather support independent anyway...
I agree. I wonder if it has to do with the salt content of the foods served. I find the food at these places to be very salty and as I get older I find myself shying away from those types of foods. Jay

I've never found Buffalo appealing but I'm not a sports fan so being surrounded by huge tvs playing sports can be a turnoff. Panera charges more than most places and I honestly didn't find the food any good the few times I've gone.

I also thought the Danbury Buffalo Wild Wings closed down, but maybe I have it confused with the other businesses in that plaza which keep closing down, getting replaced, closing down, etc.

Very high from what I hear. My mother has blood pressure issues and stays away from high salt establishments and from what she says CF is pretty high on the list.

I can't stand big chain restaurants. Granted, I can't eat there without getting sick--but I think the food is just gross at them anyways. I couldn't even tell you the last time I ate at one OR had fast food. The only large chain I go to, on occasion is Chipotle. And it's to get a bowl full of vegetables, when I'm too tired to cook or don't want to go out-out.

And yes, I agree...take a look at the size of most (not all!) people in these places...terrible. No wonder we have an obesity problem!
