It can get congested in the morning getting off the exit for Rt 110/Sikorsky. It can also get congested in the evening heading north through Milford/Orange but not terrible. There are other back roads you can take through Ansonia and Woodbridge so definitley look into those as well.

Depends on the day….. from the Milford Parkway exit to the 34 exit going north in the evening can be real tough some days…especially Fridays.

Cool area, but bit of an odd choice for a job in Shelton

It all came down to what I could afford and the best location within reasonable distance. West Haven was ugly, Shelton itself was very blah, Milford too pricey, etc. Not sure where else I could've gone other than Bridgeport or Ansonia.

I did look in Black Rock and there were surprisingly few rentals available. There were some 2 bedrooms that were quite expensive, but I have no use for a 2 bed and didn't want to pay the premium on rent. Maybe the area is getting a lot of new residents and rentals are disappearing fast. Might be interesting to see Black Rock develop into a hot spot in the next few years (wishful thinking).

It's been a hot spot for quite some time now, especially with the new train station in place. The rest of town though will never be a hot spot.
